In practice: Paper products: All the papers we offer as standard carry an eco-label. Only the best 10-15% of products - from a purely environmental standpoint - are likely to get this label. The papers are assessed by an independent regulatory body, the UK Eco-Labelling Board. Each of our products is assessed under five criteria: raw materials, energy consumption, chlorinated organics, waste water loads, emissions to atmosphere.

Chemicals: The use of solvents is being minimised commensurate with maintaining efficient performance. All toxic chemicals are being phased out as replacements are supplied by manufacturers.

Waste materials: Our waste paper is collected on a regular basis by a registered contractor for recycling. Our waste chemicals are also stored on our premises and collected by a registered contractor for safe disposal and / or recycling. Plates are dealt with in the same way.

Suppliers: Whenever possible we deal with major companies for our supplies. These companies are already taking the lead to ensure optimum environmental friendliness & compliance with ever changing environmental legislation.
